Our first ever winter retreat, The Booyah Brrrr!, will be happening in January 2021! Keep reading to find out all the exciting details! Registration will open on October 15th, 2020, so make sure you head over to Registration to reserve your spot!
So what is The Booyah Brrrr!?
What: The Booyah Brrrr! is a winter retreat hosted by Anglican Youth Ministry. It is designed to be a time for youth to go deeper in their faith by learning more about what it looks like to live out a life following Christ. It is also a time for community while having loads of fun! There are over 50 different activities at camp from ropes courses to paintball to bonfires and s’mores! In the evenings, there will be skits, worship, gospel-centered teachings, and cabin time. Every night there will be even more surprises with late-night special events!
When: January 15th-18th, 2021
Where: Watermarks Camp in Scottsville, VA
Who: All current 6th-12th graders are invited to join us (check with your youth leader to make sure your church will be joining us)
How to Register: To join in the fun, head over to Registration to sign up with your $49 deposit on October 15th. This deposit will be non-refundable in the event that the retreat has to be canceled due to COVID-19. See below for all of the safety precautions that we will be taking to make The Booyah Brrrr! a safe environment for everyone who attends.
Cost: $199 covers all meals, 3 nights of lodging, 4 days of activities, and a super-soft camp t-shirt! Registration closes December 1st, 2020. All payments are due by December 15th, 2020.
Safety Precautions: The Anglican Youth Ministry team has been planning and watching re-gathering strategies for the last several months. We are confident that by taking these precautions, we will be able to maintain safety for our students. Here are some of the things that will be put in place:
- Temperature checks for everyone upon arrival
- Cabins divided strictly by church (unless otherwise permission has been discussed between churches)
- Meals divided by church
- Seating in the worship center by church
- Masks required outside of cabins
- Registration capped at 175
Even though this retreat will look very different from our summer camps due to all of these precautions, we believe that this will be a valuable time for the youth to focus on their faith and build community with their peers and leaders.
